…it is generally said that people come in three basic body types?
They don’t hold much fat or muscles in their body (“Lekpa” as us Nigerians would call it)…they could practically eat any and everything because it doesn’t affect their weight in any way, although when they do gain weight, they sometimes gain it in odd areas.
Some popular ectomorphs are: Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton and Michelle Pfeiffer.
– Flat chest
– Delicate build
– Young appearance
– Light muscled
– Has trouble gaining weight
-Large brain (I see they smarty pants. Hehehe….nice one!)
Ectomorphs are said to typically be hyperactive, sensitive,
artistic, highly self-aware, apprehensive, introverted, socially restrained.
This is someone whose body keeps fat and it is quite easy for this person to put on weight, even with a diet, they need to put in more effort to lose weight and keep fit. In my opinion, this body type, regardless of what people think is not bad at all. It can be a bit frustrating but the truth is if you are mindful of what you eat and exercise regularly (#phew) then you can be as lean as you want!
Well known in-shape edomorphs are: Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Kate Winslet, Cindy Crawford.
– Soft body
– Round shaped
– Over-developed digestive system (Hmmm)
– Gains muscle easily
They are generally caring people, patient, tolerant,
extroverted, very nourishing, love comfort (even luxury),
love good food and being with people.
This is someone that practically has it easy when it comes to weight gain…they tend to retain fat and muscle in all the best places, and if they want to lose the weight, they do so almost effortlessly, paying no mind to diet. Some examples of mesomorphs are Madonna, Britney Spears and Gloria Estefan.

– Rectangle shaped for men Hourglass for women
– Upright posture
They tend to be active, very energetic, dynamic, assertive, courageous, sometimes aggressive and competitive and they are said to be risk takers.
Although, few people actually fall into just one category…it is more likely that you will be a combination of the body types. Some common combo’s are ecto-mesomorph and endo-mesomorph.
